I am trying to get a bunch of stuff for my 1200 but my supplier in town doesnt stock 1200 parts, just B210 and up.

So I need to know if Lower ball joints will interchange, also oil pan gasket, is it the same between earlier and later A12 engines
What about Valves and valvesprings?

The sump gasket was changed when the distributor was moved back under No. 3 plug, so the gasket for front distributor engines will not interchange with the later ones, however they are diferent on one side only & many suppliers sell a gasket kit that has enough parts to service any A series oil pan.

The head parts, like valves & springs should interchange between early & late A12 engines. The A14/15 used a larger valve size, so these do not directly interchange.

I 'think' that the ball joints are rhe same, but i don't 'know' if they are, so don't go spending cash on the strength of that.

Do you have a Nissan dealer nearby? If nothing else, he might be able to check the original part numbers for you & answer that question.

My 1200 parts book says that the part number for the ball joint is 40160 - H1000

I'm pretty use the 1974 ball joints are the same and maybe the 1975, but the 1976-1978 are larger.

The B210s went with larger suspension parts. including brakes, somewhere around 1975.
