Yeah it bolts in no problems, just a little taller than L16, L18. Oh and if its a elec ign L20 out of bluey then you'll have to modify wiring to suit and grab elec coil. But really you should post this on a 1600 forum.

you have to use an L16 sump and oil pickup as well if you want the L20 to go straight in.

Also crank has 6 flywheel bolts instead of 5 (L16-18) so be sure to grab flywheel for this too... Clutch/pressureplate etc is same...

dude... no joke

the motor bolts right in...

the other posts are right though too "oil pan"

other than that... it fits..

but be sure to use "shorter" motor mounts, because the L20b is taller than the L16... i recomend using a 5 speed ZX tranny with it

YEAH L20 FITS IN EASY, JUST USE THE L16 OIL SUMP AS IT FITS AROUND THE CROSS MEMBER UNLESS YOUR GONNA MODIFY EITHER, JUST DONT BELIEVE THE DIPSTICK AS IT IS WRONG WHEN YOU CHANGE FROM L16 SUMP TO L20 SUMP. I SUGGEST A 240C 5 SPEED BOX JUST NEED TO CUT AND MINOR PANEL WORK TO THE TUNNEL TO FIT HER IN, BOLTS STRAIGHT UP , IF LOOKING FOR A PERFORMANCE ENGINE MAKE SURE YOU GET A AUSSIE BLOCK AS THESE ARE BETTER THAT THE JAP ONES, HOW EVER THE JAP CRANKS ARE BETTER SO MIX AND MATCH IF YA CAN.
