hi all!
incase u havnt been following i bought a 1200 wagon, the dude before me musta bashed it round the bush cuz as i removed the (empty) radiator there was loads of spear grass in it LOL, but yeh, filled it up with radiator fluid and waited to see if all was good.... only to find a trickle of coolant coming out from just midway on the carby above the exhaust manifold, looks like its coming out from the end of a bolt not the join.. i think he drove the car dry as it has got no engine oil and the radiator was empty wen i got it.. there is only little drops of coolant coming out and it stops after it reaches a certain level... he said he blew the head gaskett so i believe this may be the problem, but im yet to remove the head to have a look, maybe if i keep filling it the leak will stop? just thought i would ask some professionals before i go any further..

if it leaks now when cold, It will leak more when hot and the pressure is higher

this is on my A15 engine... there is a water outlet in the head to enter the carb's manifold...

if yours leaked the same area, you'll need to change only the gasket for the exhaust+carb

ok, so by looking at ur pics, id say the coolant is running through the same place but it is coming out from the carby, not at the side of the manifold, i have to wait till i got a spare day to remove the carby and have a look if its coming from the carby, or its coming through the carby in the same place as your pictures demonstrated.. am i correct in presuming that this is what could be happening?

yeh i know, im a noob to all this, its the head gaskett, ill be pulling all the crap apart and fixing this within a few week,s thanx for ur help all
