I can tell you where the Jumbuck ute was for roughly 2 years. Like all jumbucks it was at PrixCar in Minto NSW. Every jumbuck came from the factory in Malaysia with panel damage and poor quality paint. Paint where you could still see primer in parts where the paint didnt cover. Every jumbuck went through PrixCars panel shop with atleast half the car being repaired and freshly painted.
The build date doest mean much really when it comes to sales date. In the few months that I worked at PrixCar in 2004, I worked on BMW's. BMW's were comig in from BMW's germany and south africa factories Build date 2002. When they were ready to leave, they had their compliance plates dated and attached. Brand new car built in 2002 but complianced 2004.
2001 Z3's sat in the lot with under 20ks, most of the k's from being driven at PrixCar. If an order came in today for a Z3 that colour it will go out complianced 11/05 as a brand new 2001 Z3
Its just the way the new car industry is when dealing with production, country of manufacture and number of sales demand.

Jumbucks are a piece of crap though.
