It's an interesting site
On the 'Internet specials' page he offers 'extractor exhaust specials' I did not know that the term 'extractor' [in relation to exhausts] was much known in the US.

I've always liked the term extractors better than headers.

Headers implies that your motor has exhaust ports on both sides as in a V type engine.

So, if you only need one, as in an A-series motor, wouldn't you say header instead of headers?

On the other hand, extractors sounds like it could be singular or plural.

Does that make sense?

When I was a young bloke, extractors were the steel tube conctructions that we all know & love, while headers were cast manifolds, but of a 'sports' design. Straight six Holdens & flathead Dodges used two separate three cylinder manifolds.
They were generally refered to as 'cast headers'

I think that you are right, header would be the singular of headers when describing a tubular echaust manifold.[?]

I seem to remember someone telling me headers were to make low down torque & extractors for outright horsepower but I don't know what was different in their respective designs.

I call them headers or extractors cause they are all individual tubes collecting at one point.

Thanks for the link. I have never heard of them before. I assume they do some stuff for the A Series still?

An A15 stroker motor sound kinda fun! I don't know if it can be done, but it's fun to think about!

They can do any engine. If you send for the cataloge , it goes down to more detail in the things they can do and offer. Once you send for a cataloge ,then they will send you one every year & even mid season off season specials. They are only about 50 or so miles from me.
