Has anyone done this conversion in a datsun sunny before??? If so Id like to ask a few questions!

Motor is out of a Nissan Vanette and replaced my standard a12 motor!

Is there any labelled diagrams on this forum of a complete a15 motor?

That would be great! Also if anyone has picturees of an a15 in a sunny, please let me know where they are! The engine is bolted in but there are a few differences between a15 and a15?

For example, a12 block has a nut on the side of the head (right side) with a couple of wires leading out! A15 does not have this, thus wires are still handing! Not sure how important they are????

Isnt the oil and temp sender and oil on the right hand side of the block (distrubuter side)????

Just have these 2 wires hanging as they puugged into this bolt on the right side of the 1200 and there is nothing that correlates to this on the a15 block??? Are you saying that they do not matter....

it's a water temp sender for the emissions bits.the a15 probably doesn't have these parts.
so you can tape up the wires,as some of them are live when the ignition is on.the only wire you'll need is the wire for the idle solenoid, which closes when the ignition is turned off & stops fuel getting through the idle circuit.i think 1200rallycar once posted a photo of this part, asking the question what it was.so go to
the photo album, check in 1200rallycars member section,& if you can't find it there, check under 'more photos from 1200rallycar',which will show you all the photos 1200rc has submitted to this site.hope this answers the question.oh,& yes i've put a15's into b310 sunnys, both stock & modified.the worst part was the extra height of the a15 block, which would affect the fit of the exhaust system,so i always fitted extractors & a new exhaust.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

Thanks you have answered my question! I still have a few more problems and since you have had experience with these conversions, keep your eye on my post as Im sure that I will be asking more questions!

I think the best bet is to take some photoes and post them up!!!
