120Y with ticking sound at 40+Km/h

Hi guys, My July '75 120Y sedan "The Iron Maiden" has "developed" - come to think about it, It might have had it before I got it going but was drowned out by the total lack of a muffler...
anyway it has developed a "tick tick tick" sound that starts at about 40 Km/h it has me baffled - however the Previous owner Thrashed the crap out of it, so I'm suspecting a mains or Bigend bearing... - that's the last thing I want or need - However - before it was parked "The Defect" engine still ran, But it sounded like a V8 at idle... tappets I suspect... however, as soon as Harvest and My sister's wedding is in the "done" basket, I will start looking for the elusive 180B! then "The Iron Maiden" will be like the Band - Hard, Fast and takes NO prisoners!

Is it under load in say 3rd or 4th? you're probly right in thinking tapets, I've got to get mine set right cos they probly haven't been touched in 30 years.
