Don't know how a home made one would flow , better off getting a GX manifold . It has a good flow rate that has been proven time & time a gain. (sss)

hi all..
i have a carb question also... :)

from our modification experience.. we know that bigger carb.. will let our engine rev high easier...

is it possible to modify the stock hitachi carb to achieve this also?

i thinking maybe change the jet needle..
cause the jet needle determine the amount of opening in different throttle position.. so maybe modify or change the needle for more air+fuel mixture at bigger opening?

A Factory GX manifold was for SU style carbs.

The Weber pattern is completely different. For some reason this aftermarket manifold has GX cast on it. (JTS?)

exactly there cable tie . and yes u can modify a Hitachi carb by changing jetts, and that means having a stock full of old Hitachi's layin around . ( all models) from A series to L series.

the Tomei intake manifold is 42,000 Yen (thank god for that)
so that works out a bit over $500 (australian)

plus u gotta get it here from japan. so shipping would be a few hundred.

plus 2 40 DOCE's which brand new are around $600 - $700 Australian.

Jee, i cood nearly get a CA18DET by the time ive got all this
