Yet another site/forum to help you waste your day.
I love Google Earth. I've been looking around my neighborhood trying to see who has a pool or how big the yards are.
I think my 1200 will be the first with a placemark. I found my 1200 parked in front of my old house. I think the satelite pic was taken Feb 2004.

Where is your 1200?

You need to download google earth the view them.

There is another site of which I forget. It concentrated on Victoria, Australia. Some old rodders I know, uses it to search for piles of old cars. And every couple of months they take their helicopter out to try and track some down.

I would say early 2004 is a good guess for when those pics were taken. Looking at my house, there is a neighbouring house just being built.

Yea sorry, you have to download and install Google Earth.
I guessed Feb 2004 for my house because of the stage of the landscaping in front.

How cool!

The other one that was previously famous is Terraserver. When it started more than five years ago it used the largest database in the world... It seems Google is using the same photos.

Should work on a Mac: Datsun 1200 here

Here's Angelo's 1200 in web page: TerraServer. It's the green car in the driveway just to the right of the three white cars on the street.

I'll take your word for it, from this high it looks like it could be a Corolla 1200

I spent quite a few hours last week checking out Google Earth and was very impressed. With the keyboards arrow keys, you can "fly" along roads, even seeing the valleys and ravines. I "drove" from my house to work, and from one side of Seattle to other, out to suburbs. Wasted quite a few hours, I reckon. I didn't think of looking for Datsun 1200s though.
