Damn......it doesn't take much before insurance companies write off an old datsun either, thats the worst thing. I pleaded with them to repair my ute, but they wouldn't listen.

I feel for you

I was really looking forward the 1200rc coupe at the upcoming cruise....once you get this guys name maybe we can ensure his life is full of misery.

My condolences Mike, (and Dattogirl).

The one positive - it seems neither of you were hurt in the accident.

That really sucks mate. You've put alot of man hours into that car. Any word on whether the cops have found the guy yet?

Do you have first rights in regard to salvage if it is written off?
Matty

Personally I wouldnt have put this thread up for insurance reasons. It sucks for you that this has happened. I would be swapping the unengineered blue neons for stocker clear ones. Its not uncommon for them to say (Especially in a writeoff situation ) that your un road legal car shouldnt have been on the road, so we aint paying you. Same goes for your insurance with the car you hit.( thats if you have 3rd party property)
Sucks to be you either way.

i know what your saying phunk but thats too much work.. hopefully the car is not worth enough to bother investigating

im not really relying on getting the insurance money here,

if i do it's a bonus, it will pay for a spray job on the new shell
