Runs & drives? News to me. I guess I missed that post or pics.

I just keep hearing about people scoring the intakes, but no specific plans or pics on getting it running.

I wish I had one of them manifolds. I recently scored a lyhoholm screw supercharger, but I dunno what to stick it on. It was gonna go on my L18 B310, but that has to go to pay for the paintjob on my V8.
If I had on of those manifolds, I'd do another supercharged A15. Only with the 060 oversized low CR pistons I now have it would be a BIG boost aplication.

On the subject of rare parts though, I have at long last tracked dowm a 63 series five speed for the blown A15. Every cell of my being yearns to test if they are as strong as people claim.

Are the factory efi inlets any good? the only ones i have seen are the L series ones and they are usually the smallest port head versions

It depends on what you want an EFI to do. If you think that a factory system will transform a slug into a giant killer, then dissapointment will be the result as these were originally intended to overcome the shortcomings of carburettors & to meet the ever tougher smog regulations.

As the computers got better, & with experience, the engineers discovered ways to make engines purr like kittens when dribbling around town, yet roar like lions when the power pedal was pushed to the 'max' position.

The factory EFI, when used with the right aftermarket computer, will provide good performance, easy starting, smooth driving, good economy & low emissions. If you want to push this a bit further, then follow 1200rallycar's example & put the squeeze on your intake gasses.
His twin turbo EFI system seems to run just fine, & smaller ports seem so much less of a problem under boost.
