Man, I really missed out not going to
Shasta last summer ... i had no idea that
ute was going to be there and I've yet to
see one in person.

I heard a rumor that the owner will never
sell it ...

The yellow one is from Phoenix and
supposedly was brought over by Nissan for
testing on the high-speed Nissan track in
Arizona. Is it really the same car as the red one?

Hi Widget,

How easy it is to find a 1981 or older bakkie in great shape?

The problem with the 2006 utes is that we are not allowed to import them into the USA. Generally speaking only vehicles 25 years are older are allowed.

That will be a bit hard, will take a bit of lookin but u will never find one in very good condition that is for sale. Not many people here use them for styling. Mostly use then for doing loads and stuff. U most prob will find one but with rust on them but nothin major. U still can get ALL brand new pannels for them here in SA. It will take a bit of looking. They wud be really cheap aswell, I'l say under R9000.

Hmm, maybe one can be imported, but it won't be cheap, and aren't most of us about cheap on this forum

Question for you southern hemisphere folk: how comfortable is a Ute for us over 6 footers?

I mean, would my knees be in the 10 & 2 position on the steering wheel
