You don't care about legal..but you want it to go in right?

What do you realistically envisage that this car will be used for? race? show? money pit?

If you can tell us what you want..then we can suggest things..

Assuming primarily "money pit", I recommend an SR20DET, and tubs for 255 tires on the rear. Neither would be good for a race car.

A Chrysler Hemi will fit -- that's the biggest I've seen. In our club photo album you'll find a pic of a Datsun 1200 with a supercharged Hemi. It is at once a show car and a money pit. Two for the price of one.

i spose it's like anything, you can fit any motor that your heart desires, but they all have one thing in common- $$$$$$$$$$$$
i once saw a v8 in one but the fella was sitting in the back seat to drive it. the only suggestion i can give is pick a motor that you wont get bored with! and a motor that doesn't require huge amounts of cash flow. i once saw a 1200 coupe in fast fours with a 13b PP, tubbed full on drag car, he spent about $75 000($AUS) the question is-IS IT WORTH IT? depends on how stupid you go with it! let us know what you deicide and of any deveopments.

It looks like i'm the only one he objects to when smart arse comments are made.
