I totally agree! 10g's wont get you anywhere near as fast as you would hope... But dont be disheartened i've heard of very few people who spend the money all at once! Take your time, one mod at a time and eventually you will see your dreams realized

hmmm
An S12 gazelle i've had a little bit to do with just ran a string of 10.1's last outing on slicks. the highest mph was 145 so it's obviously not optimised in the launch department yet!

Weighs 1200 ish kg, it overloaded the chassis dyno at 24psi boost. It was making 520 rwhp up to that point.
It runs 30psi with C16 to get into the low 10's

Featured in this months zoom and performance car magazines

Totally street legal, 0-100 time is 7 seconds ....thats 100mph.....

FJ powered.....naturally....

My sugestion of ten grand to run tens, was not nessesarily for a datsun. Iwas thinking more of a V8 with nitros in a light body. Also assuming that you could do all the motor work/engineering yourself. A guy I know had a car that ran 10.6s , and he sold that for less than tenK . Didnt corner like a datto though.
