ah yes of course, i was just thinking "original looking" for the purpose of coppers looking under the bonnet, so they cant defect a sports filter or something like that

What 1200rallycar says about using the Escort/ Cortina Air Cleaner makes a lot of sense. I guess what it comes down to is do you want the car to look original...

Good Luck...

why not use one from a 2ltr escort or cortina (the car the 32/36 came off), therefore only mounting needs to be modified, and from memory they dont look as dicky as the 1200 ones

Hi vaztr...

I've posted some pics of the air cleaner I modified to suit a 32/36 carb. The cleaner now lines up with the original bolt holes and no one would ever know the differenceModified Air Cleaner

Hope this helps...

Andrew,
My brother just removed his airfilter housing from a tx gemini. The bottom of the housing may be of use to you. I'll have a look tonight to see if it could be adapted.

Hi All

I'm looking for an original a12 air filter housing (top+bottom+bolt). I'm about to put a 32/36 carby on and would like to modify the filter housing to sit on top of this (I don't want to break my original one!)

Anyone?

Thanx
