He he he....good idea Dodgeman, I like it!!!
Only thing I'm worried about is that "negligent driving" and "driving in a manner dangerous" are up to the coppers discretion. And thats a very bad thing with Orange's highway patrol.

I remember a elderley lady being booked by a police officer for driving too slowly. She was also sent back to the department of transport to be retested for her license.
So I wouldn't advise a `go slow' protest because there is always something the cops can pull you up for even if it's just the inconvenience of being put over the pits. Matty

Heard a good one the other day regarding speed cameras.....4 guys spotted a camera car and parked behind it and got out and chatted to the camera operator, well 3 did the 4th guy snuck around to the front of the car and removed the number plate. They fitted it to their car and drove past the camera a number of times...the Traffic Dept computer issued itself with 15 speeding infringement notices !!!!!!!!!

hehe nice one, i love it
i always think, if i think about doing something chances are someone else has already done it, and im always thinking about doin something to those bloody speed cameras, especially the red light/speed cameras on intersections ive also heard that you can be booked for going too slow, i think its more dangerous than speeding

You can be booked for "unduly" obstructing traffic, you can be booked for dangerous driving, you can be booked for a whole lot of things, but none of them include "going too slow."
Adjust the "racing" speed to the circumstances. 45 [& 46] kph in an 80 zone will drive the point home just as well, [even 50 & 51] particularly if you use a gear that keeps the engine at "cruise speed", like about 3,000 / 3,500rpm or so. One needs only a light pedal pressure to attain this in second, or third, so exhaust noise should be minimal.

OK Dodgeman I'm sure the cops didn't write the ticket up as `going too slowly' but they DID book her, they DID fine her and she DID lose points off her license. The incident was on the news a couple of times and was also covered by one of the current affairs shows. The lady failed to get her license back after several attempts.
I still fail to see how a go slow procession/protest would help get speed cameras and radar traps away from revenue raising areas and into the black spots where they should be. The only result will be that that a lot more cars will be put over the pits and their drivers will be a bit lighter in their wallets. Regards Matty

Thanks, that made my day And as far as cameras for red-light running and speeding, there's a reason I have never run a front plate on any of my cars. Well, that, and I think they look dumb. Well, not that I would ever speed or run a red light. You can view topic.
