Ah LHD could be a worry. I have seen an SR conversion where they didnt move the firewall back but dont have any pics so it can be done.

Yep clutch was completed on the weekend, plenty of room!

The SR20DET installs in LHD cars, generally use a custom exhaust manifold, and don't fit "nicely", but it can be made to work.

I'm talking about PL510 installs in general.

Using a rack and pinion alleviates some of the problems, but creates a few more aswell.

The only way that you'll know is to hang it in the bay, and measure it up. Keep exhaust clearance in mind when positioning the engine in the engine bay.
