You may have noticed in the for sale section I have an ad for a coupe. Here is the sad story: My older brother was in desperate need of a daily driver last year so I found him a 1200 that a racer buddy had intended to turn into an autocrosser. Well less than a year goes buy and like an idiot he lends it to his Alcoholic drug addicted alleged ex-girl friend who promptly uses it to find a place to get high and drives it into a pole.
ARRGGH the moral of the story is do let non-Datsun people have a perfectly good 1200 because they have no idea how hard these cars are to find.
So lets start a group called Datsuns annonymous:

my mates 1200 ute was coming back from Alice springs with him in the in passenger seat, which meant he had to let his stoner mate drive at 3am, the end result was a 2metre Huge Red kangaroo coming to its death on the front of the ute, at bout 100km.

ohhh the ute didnt look pretty! but someone bought it and fixed it down there which is good ending

These days when I loan a car out, I'm thinking "take my convertible (and leave the 1200 here for me)".

I too let a non datsun , so called mate drive my first 1200. he drove it into a tree
at god knows what speed and then did a runner , leaving me bleeding in the gutter with a face full of broken windscreen. The moral of the story is if Im not driving my datto NO ONE IS! Oh yeah , and seatbelts are our freinds.

i cant complain i did the opposite, i stacked my mates mazda 1300 rallycar, $700 later shes as good as new

Yes I have told the girls DONT LEND YOUR DAT TO ANY ONE NOT EVEN THE GUY FRIENDS! If he wants to drive the dat thay got to married you. HE BRAKES IT HE FIX IT OR DAD BRAKES HIM.
