Hi

Is a 120Y tie rod any use in a 1985 1200 Ute?

I think one of my tie rods may be bent!? and I know of a 120Y that is being wrecked - I've been told that the front suspension in the 'newer' 1200 Utes isn't the same as the old....

Anyone?

yeah, i got caught out with some ball joints and 1 tie rod end.

For some reason the 85 utes are slightly different. The ball joint mounting holes are a couple of mm out and one tie rod (can't remember if its the inner or outer) on the rhs, but other wise I think most else is the same.

I'd check first though Why they'ed change'em I don't know
