I posted a reply on another thread about head gaskets, Matsuoka Race Car Engineering here in Japan makes various thickness metal head gaskets for the A series engines ranging from 0.5mm thick to 2mm thick. Prices vary from 15,000 - 17,000 Yen (about $150 - 170 US dollars). A young lady who works there is named Yumiko and she speaks and reads English so write her an email and tell her what you want! http://www.matsuoka-m.com Email: order@matsuoka-m.com

Hi Nicholas

Why don't you buy a payon head gasket?
(I hope the spelling is right).
I talked to someone about two months ago about what if your head is skimmed too much what solutions can one have for it.
He said Payon can make a specific head-gasket for your needs in thickness in Jo'burg.
He once got one of 3mm thick he said that worked fine for a BMW.
It is just a bit of a waiting period for it.

Why do you want to lower your compression?
Tell us a bit more.
Did you test your A14 yet and how does it go.
