I may just go with no bumpers at all...

Thoughts? Opinions?

Looks like you got rid of the side windows chromes, not really chromed , but, you know, the area that sorounds the rear side glass and the bottom of the driver and pass glass. I thought about it, looks good.
I am also looking for those bumpers, as of now, I just drive bumperless, only the rubber guards, the american version stick out bumpers look ugly, deny the real shape of the car.
Nice car.________________________

I still have the side trims. They were removed because I'm about to get it painted. Not sure yet if they will go back on. Probably have them powder-coated black first.

Also, I took my bumpers off this weekend and I think it's a BIG improvement. If nothing else, it took about 150 lbs off the car!!

Front with no bumper (and new spook):

Hy. Excelent inprovement. I got mine completely bumperless, like your's, but the cops here in Cal are so *&^%$#$%$#@!!
that I was forced to try on the rubber guards to avoid tickets for not having a bumper.
I like it completely bumperless. Your's looks good like that. About the trim, looks good to, without it, although the trim is not bad at all, I will either paint it gray, or the same color as the car, or get rid off it, either or.
What spring/shock assembly did you use? Mine has 14X8 wheels, all 4 of them(used to be 14X7 front)and 205 55 14 front yoko tires and rear are 205 60 14. I want to lower it, I just got sick of the way it looks, and also the bad performance with the stock suspension. The rear 14X8 with 205/60's go in very well under lowering, I saw it while driving with a bunch of friends, 3 girls and one guy in the back, another girl as passenger, and the rear looked cool, all slamed, and the negative camber allowed the rear tires go inside the fender without problems, lowered like that, with hefty springs, will be excelent for performance and looks. If, after lowering it, I get some clearance problems, I have, in case, a extra set of wheels /tires, 13X9,s with 235/50/13 tires, so, if the 14's rub(which I think do not, and will not(as tested under load), the 13/s will do it. I would like to make /buy if available, fender flares, like the Nissan skyline behind the black 4 door 610 in the picture above, it would allow for a better cover to the w/t package. I have sway bars from ADDCO, but I need the springs, perhaps a coil over from Ground control will do it,tell me about your suspension. My taillights /assembly is different than yours, but the front/grille is the same.Same signal lights.A friend of mine, with whom I went to Shasta last year, has a nice lowered 610, on 13X7 wheels, looks good, I should have a pic somewhere, although the car looks 300% better in person. He has a Weber 32/36, headers, 5 speed. Same L20B motor as mine. L20B's are powerfull, a friend of mine has a 510 with a L20B with twin 45DCOE's and headers, cam, ignition work, sounds like mean business.
Later.
Those wheels look like 280Z, right?

Hey John, does it have the twin sidedraft hitachi SUs?

Short list of what's done to the car:

L20B (2.0L) bottom end, SSS cylinder head (9.6:1 compression ratio), SSS intake manifold, dual 38mm sidedraft carburetors (Hitachi SU's), Kirk header, 2.5" exhaust, CenterForce clutch, 280Z 5spd trans, Konis all around, Nissan Motorsport springs (for a 510) that don't really lower it, they just make it a bit stiffer.

A few nice touches are ice-cold factory AC, decent condition paint, decent black interior (soon to have new sportier seats), modified short throw shifter, 14x6 280ZX wheels with Dunlop 195/55-14 tires, but soon it'll be getting bigger wheels (15-16").

Also, Addco 1" front sway bar and a Quickor adjustable 3/4" rear sway bar (set to the middle setting). Car has amazing grip even with just the 195's. Flares seem like kind of a waste since you can easily fit 225's under the stock fender with the right wheels...

But they sure do look cool...

Two things;
You can get those flares here in the states for $200 a set.
Are you going to Shasta this year? I am planning to attend again.

Very nice car. It looks better with no bumpers, but now it looks unfinished. I think the non-US bumpers should look sweet.
Are you planning on driving it to Shasta this ye...
I'll start a new post about Shasta.
