I've been giving this some thought ,
and I'd like to see If you think Im right.
There would be no point in fitting a bov to a drawthrough turbo set up.
1, I'd have to loop the venting back into the air cleaner so there would be no cool noise.
2, because the throttle butterfly is on the intake side of the turbo, when a shift was made there would be vaccum between the turbo and the motor meaning no hinderence for the turbo to spool up against. Hence no need to vent.
3,If the valve was put between the turbo intake and the carb to let air in rather than out, to keep the turbo spinning when the carb is shut while shifting. When the valve was open othe than when driving fast the motor would getno gas and stall.
these are just a few Ideas that sprang to mind while I was at work(after I was offered a cheap bov). But If someone has done it, or thinks it will work I'm all ears.

your right u wouldnt need one, there would be no pressure against the throttle butterfly so what would be the use? unless u wanna fit one and have a whole heaps of fuel sprayin round ur engine bay.

Well, it appears you have come to the right conclusion. A blow off valve on a draw through would be more like a blow UP valve.

I do like the flames idea though...

a BOV wouldn't be required on draw thru.

for one the smell of fuel all over the engine bay will get you high in the cabin and you'll start seeing leprechauns all over your instruments - and that distracts you from the road - so a big no-no to that.

second, then flammability issue of said fuel all over the hot engine bay.

third, there is no pressure reversion on the turbine, as the engine is consuming the air it doesn't need on deceleration and the turbine keeps spinning.

so don't worry about it. if you want the whoosh noise, buy a WRX.
