What would have to be done to get a 100rwkW out of a CA18DE?
Aftemarket computer, cams, intake, extractors?
Any suggestions for mine?
All i have is a CA18DE with K and N pod air filter and a 2.5 inch exhaust?
Cheers Henry

It'd need to be a "good race prep" to pull 100kW at the wheels. I've seen 78kw A15 in a 1000..was a quick little car. A worked L18 might also fit the bill. A supercharged/turbo'ed A14..Quite possible. CA18DE, shouldn't be too hard, need an aftermarket computer. Why not a CA18DET..I still think this is the best way to get good horses into a 1200.
Toyota stuff is pretty good, but I wouldn't do it, I like Helal horsepower, just like my kebabs.

Hi, i've set myself a goal of a 100kW (135 hp) rwkw's for a datsun 1200 ute (all theoretical at this stage) and am thinking of different engine options WITHOUT turbocharging. current engine options include: race prep A15 (not sure if 100 kw is achievable) s/charged A14 CA18DE..... OR possibly, the "dreaded" toyota engine swap of a 4AGE/GZE. any theories/comments? Cheers, Tom
