What would have to be done to get a 100rwkW out of a CA18DE?

Aftemarket computer, cams, intake, extractors?

Any suggestions for mine?

All i have is a CA18DE with K and N pod air filter and a 2.5 inch exhaust?

Cheers Henry

Good luck with your plight! Just so you know, I've dyno tested my sedan, and got 108 rwhp from a stock 4AGE. I know that this is a touchy subject with some of the more picky guys, but it runs great and fits in nicely. With few mods(cam, compression, etc), 135 rwp shouldn't be too far off...

It'd need to be a "good race prep" to pull 100kW at the wheels. I've seen 78kw A15 in a 1000..was a quick little car.
A worked L18 might also fit the bill.
A supercharged/turbo'ed A14..Quite possible.
CA18DE, shouldn't be too hard, need an aftermarket computer.
Why not a CA18DET..I still think this is the best way to get good horses into a 1200.

Toyota stuff is pretty good, but I wouldn't do it, I like Helal horsepower, just like my kebabs.

Hi,
i've set myself a goal of a 100kW (135 hp) rwkw's for a datsun 1200 ute (all theoretical at this stage) and am thinking of different engine options WITHOUT turbocharging.
current engine options include:
race prep A15 (not sure if 100 kw is achievable)
s/charged A14
CA18DE.....
OR possibly, the "dreaded" toyota engine swap of a 4AGE/GZE.
any theories/comments?
Cheers,
Tom
