yeh same with my sunny A12... was driving 130 kph and my accelerator pedal got stock on the floor meaning wont spring back and was #### scared as theres a few cars in front of me so had to brake hard and hand brake as well to the side of the road

i got my a12 powered datsun sunny to about 130kph and it was still pulling but i ran out of road. and the sunny is a heavyier car than a 1200.

had my stocker A12 at 6200 in fourth with TRX rims and 195/50 tyres and it jjjjjjjjjjjjjjuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuussssssssssssssssssssssssttttttttttttttttttttttttttt made 100mph with a slight tailwind.

then it went bang, there was lotsa smoke and it sounded like someone had slipped a screwdriver in thru the sparkplug hole.

I know someone who went 135 kph with his stock white coupe....
a month later he re-sprayed his car to red and tried it again and he reached 155 kph!

red makes your car really fast!

then he added some neon lights and that gave him extra 10 kw at the wheels

he was going to install a monster tacho but he was worried that he might go too fast

Yeah nelly got sprung in doubbble points that was stupid!

But sometimes you want the speedo needle to hide behind the metal surroundings

The maximum legal speed anywhere near where you live is 110K. If you are on a "P" licence, then for you, it is less.

Why are you driving a stock A12 at these speeds? You know whats going to happen when you get sprung.

Are you still on "P" plates?

my old a12 (same specs as yours) could do 100mph both when it was 4speed manuel and auto (although it took longer with the auto)(on origanal speedo). my a15 (twin deloughtos mild work, 5speed ,digital vdo speedo) did 175kph on a slight down hill run on to a straight before i backed off (this one , i had my video camera attached to my roll cage for prosperity... now im to gutless (i call it smart) to push the limits of my car like that. i have the feeling the datsuns aerodynamics were not desighned for breaking the speed of sound
