what are the advantages of paying the extra $150-$200 to get your leafs reset as opposed to lowering blocks

How low do you want to go?

Personally I would not use anything more than a 1.5 inch lowering block.

I have got a 1.5 inch lowering block and the springs reset 2" lower as well. If I get a defect notive I only have to remove the blocks to achieve legal ride height.

i worked out it needs to go about 12cm's lower however much that is in inches. thats a pretty good idea tho i think i might do the same

12cms = 120mm which is close enough to 4-3/4 inches [4.8" actually]

4 3/4 " sounds like an aweful lot haha

that's because it is an awful lot!

if you want to go that low, it really doesn't matter how you do it - the result will be a shocking ride, terrible handling, and illegal. if that's what you're after, go for it.

It's easier enough to just buy some boxing and cap the ends (if you know how to weld).

The most expensive part is getting extended U-bolts made up (high tension steel and threading etc.)

Once you've done all that, your away.

I think the easiest and safe is just buy lowered springs
