I'm back on the 15th or 16th September.

My car probably won't be finished by then. But I still got some weekends, it might be ready then. But I wouldn't count on it.

I spent the weekend doing more measuring and looking at other cars in at the wreckers. I got the pinchweld stuff from around the door openings from a 240K. It was in really good condition. But I'm still looking for a perfect steel grille.

####,
what a response!!

any 1200 would be awsome....
i live out near Windsor/Richmond so the Wisemans Ferry run would be great...
I have never been out that way so cannot lead for directions.
This weekend would be an ideal time... any ideas for a run, meeting place even- then we can decide where to go...
mate im keen

Yeah that date might be possible im tryn as hard as can to get things moving along quickly but at the same time i dont want to rush something and #### it up.
It all comes down to cash flow and once the alloy radiator and tunnel is finish next weekend there wont be much of that.
Cheers Luke

ill be back in a couple of weeks hopefully, i have nightmares about my datsun being stolen, the police pursuing it and the theif smashes the thing, i wake up in one of those typical hollywood nightmare scenes sweating, i run to the phone call my flat mate and get him to check on the precious piece of metal.

The galston gorge is a great drive can could even be used as a hillclimb track although it is not too steep.

I hope i can make the cruise

It seems that a few people dedicated to this site wont be able to make it. Maybe we should aim for late August/early sept.

the roads are good, not perfect, but good.
no dirt (as far as i know)
windy hills, good way to test your brakes.
Cheers,
Tom

Wisemans Ferry. Up through and north of Windsor. Plenty of good windy roads until the ferry. Then across the car ferry, then windy backroads until you get to gosford, then hang out at terrigal, then back down the freeway to home. That's a good cruise. I wish my Sedan was already finished!

Chris

If you meet up at thornleigh maccas, then you can also fit the galston gorge in That's a great drive too.
