always loved my dattos as paddok bashers, coz they never say die. the ute is my first rego'd car. (I've had a mini, a skyline, a galant, 120ycoupe, 1200 wagon, and suzuki LJ50v as unreg'd bangers, and we only have an acre in the middle of town)
Love dirtbikes, and own a 99 YZ400f, which doesn't get used often enough.
just out of interest... we don't seem to have many chicks on this forum do we??? I only know of 1.

Evan, 18, just moved to melbourne from mildura. '73 1200 ute is my ride, only had it for 8 months but will never regret it. funny how i used to think dattos were junk til ya actually get into one and drive it. its an experience. just blew the gear box yesterday, can anyone give me an estimate on what new gear box + labour usually costs? cheers

Currently working on my 1980 Sunny which
is going to be L16 powerd and used for a fast road car come under 1600cc club car.

Strated in a turbo 2 ltr corona moved on to a datsun 1600 rally car which I never raced.
Now I have my 1200 ute and play with shotguns instead of the 1600.

I'm Andy from the States, but live in Japan for the next year. I love cars and girls, but one doesn't ask for much in return so.... I'm 25 and as single as they get, which is good! This means more money for playing! A Datsun 1200 coupe has been my daily driver ever since I started driving when I was 16 (1995). I've had 4 coupes total so far, one got me through high school, another started me in college and another finished me up in college, and the current one is receiving a 300 hp SR20DET that I will be deporting back to the US with me to terrorize the streets...can't wait!

18 from Jerangle, near Bredbo in NSW, got a 120Y on the farm (2000acres) that I've had since I was about 10, cost a case of beer. Not much left of it since I rolled it, pulled the panels off it and pretty well f*cked the engine. Still good fun.
Am currently living in canberra to attend college, driving another 120Y, cost me $150, and for a little while had a 1200 coupe that I got for $50.

Tom, 18. Live on a 90acre block about 30 minutes out of Canberra, its in NSW. Love it out in the bush. Only thing is the bloody roo's on the road. Had so many close calls with my ute its not funny. Ow yea i drive a 81 1200 ute. Not bad at all 4 a first car! , Not married but i got a gurlfriend who i am convincing 2 buy a dato ute or 1600 one of these days!
