Hi all,
does anyone know where you can get billet (blank) camshafts so that you can have it ground to specs?.
I tried crow cams and tighe cams and they didnt have any.
Any ideas?

Billets are not quite so important on the A series, as they are a flat tappet cam and are able to compensate for a smaller base circle with a longer push rod to maintain valve geometry. The arm wipe over the valve stem or roto cap is blued and the wipe centre observed. The wipe position on the stem is changed by lengthening or shortening the pushrod.
I am currently having some longer push rods made from VW alloy push rods. We are fitting turned down shaft A series cup ends as an interfernce fit on to an internal step in the pushrod. I wqs told of this trick by a very knowledgable club man racer. Thanks Luke.
