i have a 1200 ute with a real boringly stock a14, i was just wondering how i could get a bit more perfomance out i my ute for a small amount of cash, either doing a bit of work to the engine or gettin a different engine like a L20 or sumthin? any help will be good,

L20's are cheap and real torquey.. they dont rev real hard.. but there cheap and fairly reliable.. id go a L20b coz they #### all over a A14

how much would it cost to buy a L20b in good enough condition to put straight into my ute without major recondition. are they hard to install.

I would like to see ( and build ) a 1000 wagon with a 3.8 injected V6 in it and set the suspension up just for drifting ,You can pick up a V6 and auto (or 5speed) VN commodore for under a grand at the auctions so if you did most of the work yourself I reckon you could build an awsome drift car for under $3,000 .
And you wouldn't have a dirty great big intercooler on the front of you car like everybody else ( I'm getting a little tired of seeing intercoolers on cars that they don't belong that's all )

Is that so? I beg to differ. When you learn to drive and get a car of your own, I would like to see it #### all over my A14!
