I just clayed my Mini Cooper. Wow, feels like a babys bottom! It takes off all the roughness along with any dirt and crap. I highly reccomend it for nice paintjobs.

It is really magic stuff and gives you the best surface finish. Before and after is chalk and cheese. A bit expensive here in OZ but a fantastic product.

There are a couple of variations to Clay Magic... But they all do the same thing...they remove impurities from the paint surface (road grime, oversprays, dirt, etc) and in about half the time as a cut/ polish and half the heartache... I swear by the stuff... the best procedure is: Wash and shampoo the car... rinse and leave the water on... rub the clay over the car, chamois the water off, put on a polish and then a wax.

Here in the states a full kit with clay bar, lube, and polish is about $17US. I got mine at the auto parts store.

No, The cool thing is it rides a micron above the paint and strips off anything that isnt supposed to be there.

How do you restore the full color to faded red paint? Will Clay Magic help? I don't have a buffing wheel, but any case would be worried about biting too deep and taking the paint off.

I dont think it will do anything for faded paint. It just removes all impurities from on top of the paint. I would guess you should clay first then compound after then wax as a final. And if you were me, the next thing would be to repaint because you went through the paint!
