I did Round 3 of the QLD series last weekend, There were 2 other 1200 coupes there (one belongs to AdamBDA) and a 1000 2dr sedan. I really need to get myself a camera... I might have some pics of those cars from a previous round - i'll have a look later.

Craig Allan's A14 (I think! It's A series anyway) 1200 coupe picked up 1st and 2nd place in under 1600cc, dual entered with his brother.

And my car got 1st and 2nd in 1601-2000cc. So it was a good weekend for the 1200s.

Car ran great and was handling fantastic after a minor change on friday. The revalved Konis were ready and were brought out to the track for us. All trace of axle tramp is now gone, and the car is much more settled in mid corner bumps, or ripple strips We both did our best ever times on the full circuit, and should be further up the outright order when the full results are sent out. All we need now are some brakes - they're dreadful!

tell me about it! That's the story of my car - it sort of evolved into a race car by accident after I started doing track days and upgrades...

QLD Challenge will be very interesting. How's your's going after the tuning?
Abyss has also entered, but not in his 1200 - its not finished. Lots of other Dattos in there too - Stanzas, 1600s, Z cars.

You were flying over the weekend Harry. Our little 1220cc also just keeps getting quicker and we were happy with the latest mods. Next are the adjustable strut tops and tower brace, however that will have to wait until after this weekend - we are running at QR at the Alfa regularity day.
I had to get dispensation from their insurers etc to run due to my age.
Everything that we are doing is aimed to running in Improved Production under 1600 next year with our new motor/running gear configuration - which is currently under construction.

Hi Adam,
didn't get to see you guys as much at this round. But your car sounded pretty good, and certainly looked faster. Bet ya can't wait for the new engine!

Allan,
it was Morgan Park last weekend. Next weekend is the QLD Challenge rally - some info in the Queensland ( Brisbane ) thread

Andrew,
yeah mate, I'm coming to getcha at Bathurst! yeah right... I think the straights might be a bit too long...
you might have seen John Siddin's green 260Z at Bathurst before? I'm doing basically the same times as him now. I still can't believe the improvements in the car this year!
