Just would like to know.

How may silencer{muffler} boxes does a stock 1200 delux sedan has.

Mine has only one, is this right.

My exhaust system is pretty new,and is stainless steel, but it doesnt sound normal.
It's quite noisy, sounds like it has a booster box fitted.

What is the correct size of the exhaust{diametre} of the 1200 Datsuns.

I think the exhaust is 1 1/2 inch from the factory, it has only one muffler at the back.

If you have bigger diameter exhaust tube, you'll best to get a hotdog (resonator) in the middle. Late model Utes have a Catalytic converter. The requirements would vary from country to country.

Stainless steel always sounds strange compared to mild steel. Mild steel exhausts sound the best (almost always), but they don't last as long, Especially when used for city driving.
