Hey Guys,

On Saturday i am planning to buy a set of 17" wheels to suit my dato ute. The off set is fine but im not sure if im going to have problems with hitting the struts??? or anything else. If you have fitted 17" did you have problems??? I no it has been done before. Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

17" rims are very hard to fit the front of a datto unless you can find a 17x6" rim which is really hard and most of them are 7" wide 6.5 if your lucky.I have stanza struts and TRX rims which are 6" wide and still need fairly big spacers to stop them from hitting the strut.
Your other option is to get SIMMONS which can be made in any size 17x4 17x5 whatever but very pricy and take up to 6 months to arive if they are busy.
Cheers Luke

hey, ive got 17's on my 1200 ute, took me ages to find them they r avarti raptors and they just did small batch of 5 or somethin so that guy at the mag shop told me. so they fit under rear gaurds and clear the struts just, but did lip the rear as they are 7'' wide i hate rubbing tyres, and the front was more tricky u have to cut the front of the gaurds quite a bit was u can turn and when u lower it means u need to cut even more but u have curve it to make it look good, then remove gaurds and cut wegde shape out of the side of the inner gaurd (this is the bit behind wheel now) bang it back with hammer then weld back up hopfuly u should be able to get full lock if not cut some more out, hope this helps

My original TRX brochure lists the wheels as being 5-1/2" wide.

How wide are 205's I assume 20.5 cm???
That's my tyre width and they aren't any wider than my wheels. Mine are the same, lipped up a bit but I do scrub still but mine is lowered a bit
