That's a 63-series transmission, good for up to 175 lb-ft of torque. The stock A12 only puts out 70 lb-ft (see 5-speed Overview)

Yes, 5-speeds are fairly common here, at least on the west coast of USA.

Here's one for sale in Seattle.

Here's one for $160 on ebay.
Problem is it comes with a whole car!! According to the seller it's a 5-speed (I emailed him). OH well, too far for me...

It's in Massachussets (Northeast USA). Those wagons usually have A15s as well. Could be good buy for someone. It's only $100 if no one else bids.
