A mate of mine has a HZ holden ute and that has a 2 barrel stromberg on it, im prettyy sure that this is factory standard but i could be wrong...
Not sure what model stromberg but the butterfly valves are really weird shaped and the 1st & 2nd chambers are smaller than my hitachi!!

Care to elaborate?

Those stromburgs are also on the old ford sixes but they are not the ones im talkin bout Im talkin bout the side draught type.

Just about any carb is suitable. In a suck through system, the carb is working as in a normal engine ...

Though some carburetors are better than others. The Weber carbs are all very tunable, which is good. The Hitachis are also very good carbs (except for the A10 carb, which has not a good power circuit).

It will be good to use:
- any Weber (easy to find jets and other tuning parts)
- the Hitachi sidedraft (easy to modify mixture, etc)
