As long as she isn't like Granny McGo. This was [alegedly] the psuedonym for the real life granny that the Beach Boys did the song about [Little old Lady from Pasedena] The story that i got is that she really did have a Dodge Super Stock with 426 Hemi. I don't know if it was just a grocery getter, or if it was raced, but if for groceries, then she sure knew how to get home before the ice cream melted.
I believe that she apeared in some Dodge advertisements, & if she is still with us, she would be in her high nineties at least.
Go granny go.

CA18DET_man has got it right. It matters not how fast, or how quick it goes, for a street car what's really important is how well it DRIVES.

A well sorted ca18 datto would beat most street cars. The thing is no matter how fast your car is there will always be a faster ones out there somewhere. Doing it on the street is not the best way to do it either. It wasnt that long ago to own a fully legal and regoed 12 second car was pretty quick now it seems you need to be running in the 10;s to be regarded as quick with some (street cars)!!!! running in the 9s and even 8's. To me it not just straight line stuff I would like to give a 10 second car a run around a race track they would probably beat me to the first corner :-p
I think dattodudes 1200 sedan should be good for low 11's maybe even high 10s if the power gets to the ground!! not too bad for a little daily driver (once its going)

Gran you crack me up, your the biggest stirrer I've ever met. It was a good and well deserved call though. lol. I am sure you have noticed that many members have double standards all for themselves.
As for Woodydat getting others to stick up for him. I can 100% say that if Gran or Woodydat have ever met or spoken, it is news to me. Get your #### straight. Oh yeah thats right, you dont care. but you still felt the need to have a comeback.
Dodgeman dont think Melissa the old chook holds up traffic, If my memory serves me correctly, I remember the words " Steve this motor is kinda tired " ( motor refering to old A12. ) Gran is no lead foot but she doesnt drive like the anchor is out either.

Cheers Steve.

One question I have for everybody is, why drive so fast. I like driving my 1200 and if I rush, it just means less time spent driving it.

Melissa. It's a testosterone thing. When you are a bloke & you are 20, you want to see how fast it will go. When we are 50, we want to see how long we can make it last. [a bit like inter-personal intimate activity too ]

With even a stock A14, & some tidy little mags, preferably 13", your sedan will not be a traffic obstruction, but should perform quite 'adequately' It doesn't take a lot to make a real nice car from our classics.

Welcome to the club.

And I care what you think?? No, I dont think so and if you dont like my dribble, hey dont read it!

If woodydat has to get others to stick up for him and cant fight his own battles, then I feel sorry for him.
