Yeah it is a sad day to hear something like this.
Trouble is the people that do this stuff dont have the same mind frame as any of us.
A few years ago when i was an apprentice I had a customer who was into cars and mostly dattos. He was known to knock off cars and parts, eventually got done for it. Even had him on video taking parts off the confiscated cars in the police impound lot.
Sad thing is one of his dattos was a feature car on another shall remain un named forum. ( doubt the forum knows ) I would never name names but I can honestly say I wouldnt be sad for this person either if it happened back to them.
Only trouble with cars and parts is they are to easy to reuse without anyone the wiser.

So sorry to hear about your loss to some idiot's greed. Hope it's fixable!

Even though I'm in Japan I'm getting really nervous about theft now that my Datsun is getting closer and closer to being finished. Everytime I'm working on my car all these other Americans gotta come "take a look" they're all drooling over my 90mm Throttle Body and polished Greddy intake and the GT28 turbine and Jet Hot header. I'm gonna have to keep a REAL close eye on it because I don't trust ANY of those guys even though we've all raced together and helped each other out.

When it's done I'm gonna have to rig it up so it won't start or move, hood pins will go in with locks and it will be parked in a garage. I WILL kill someone who touches it

Its pretty great that you found it! Just think, It could have been allot worse.... at least the majority of it is back. not much comfort though.Hope it all comes back together soon

This is one of my biggest fears as well.
I'm glad to hear you got your ute back. I hope it's repairable.
On the bright side, if there was anything that you would have wanted to do differently to your ute, now is your chance. That's how I felt after my sedan got smashed. Well at least after the anger from my datsun getting smashed had dissapated.

very very sorry to hear about the thieving and then the recovery of it in worse condition. Its ####ing sick how someone can do such a thing, take someones belongings that they have worked hard for, that goes for cars and everything else. total ####ign scumbags. if i ever caught someone in the process of stealing my car i would run at the cunts in pure psychoness, smash their kneecaps and hands with a metal bar, id do anything to protect my car, or die trying.

just the thought of someone taking my car makes me sick. sorry rocket. hope everything workls out money wise etc to repair her.

Try the method in the picture attached (how do I attached a file?)

i.e. use a padlock to clamp together the Brake and Clutch pedals. The former owner of my Pickup dato had already modified by welding some plates for the padlock!!

I'd been thinking of something like that, it would be good if it attached the steering wheel too.

it pisses me off that these little ####s just think they can take what they want. it is the main reason the SSS stays in the garage and gets driven on country roads.
i am too scared to leave it parked in town.
