I hate to agree with Woody, but he's right. You obviously don't have too many clues 'bout how cars work, letalone how to make them haul ass. If someone explains to you how to build a drawthrough turbo, or how to change a cam, or whatever, this isn't going to teach you how to fabricate , or weld. It takes a lot of time to get a good grasp of how to build perfomance cars. Most of us are still learning ourselves. (I still cock up all the time) You need to talk to, and or befriend someone who , A, has a good set of tools, B, knows there way around an engine/car, C, talk to an engine reconditioning shop. Most of them can do stuff like cam grinds etc. Get yourself a WORKSHOP MANUEL. Talk to someone who knows about souping motors up, (There must be heaps of speed freaks where you are) Anything you can do to a V8 you can do to an L20B. The bottom line is, if you can't do the majority of the work yourself/with the help of a mate, then it is gonna cost you a ####load of coin. I love dattos, but for what it will cost you, you may as well buy something else if you wanna go really fast. No offense mate OK.

He who engages in sexual intercourse with his mother.
From the nature of many of your questions, & assumptions, it is aparent that you have extremely limited mechanical knowledge & experience. This is no crime as all of us started out not knowing which end of a crescent wrench to hold at one time.
Where you are striking trouble is in trying to mix it with the big boys before you have found your way in the junior leagues.
One of the best things you can do is to DEVELOP your truck & let your knowledge grow, prety much the same as the rest of us have. Hell, i started out as an apprentice mechanic in the mid 60's & I am still learning things, particularly from this site.
See if you can buy a repair manual for it, a factory one is best if a Chilterns or other is not available. This will teach you all about maintaining & repairing your truck, & as you grow in knowledge & confidence, you apply various improvements as you go.
Your desire to have the fastest accelerating truck in the Sandwich Isles is interesting, but at this time, i suspect that you are reaching just a little too far. Start out by restoring your truck to basicly a sound but stock[ish] condition, then move foward from there in smaller, but achievable, & affordable steps, & you will get there in the end.
Thats the way most of us do it.
PS Can you see if you can find a way to leave your trash mouth somewhere else, you win more friends that way. Woody,... shut up.

real,
did you actually read those books i suggested for you?
because the more you post, the more it sounds like you didn't.
i'll mention them again
Tuning the A series engine - David Vizard Turbocharging and Supercharging - Corky Bell
seriously, you'll learn more just flicking through them and looking at the pics than you will with all the explanation on the net in 3 months.
you're running yourself around in circles.
