thought id add some update pics. a few more pay checks and shes goin in. woo hoo

just gotta pick up the extractors and a few other little bits and pieces like bolts for the g/box and shes in.

oh and im more then happy to hear about the 'commercial' use

commercial vehicles have a higher limit for capacity increases.

for a datsun 1200 sedan / coupe / wagon the limit is about 2250cc NA from memory

for a 1200 ute i think the limit is 2.6L-ish - this is remembering a while back now so excuse me if it's wrong but you get the point yeah? under these rules, a "2.4L" 12A is right at home.

yea i think in nsw it goes on weight and engine capacity,but i spose it would be best to consult an engineer...

Don't kid yourself, you WILL be reamed sooner or later.

Just do some homework and you'd be surprised at what you can get engineered in a little "commercial" or "promo" vehicle.

yeah team dfc....... 20b, sounds the goods too from what im told.
Just about as road legal as the last one.... but its "just a drag car"

hey datsin, im pretty sure power to weight ratio is way over the limit for the P platers with the 12a in it, but 95% of cops wouldnt know what there looking at anyway.

and im just gonna use the excuse of, "a12??? no it should say 12a, vic roads must have stuffed it up. its just the stock motor. ill get that fixed up for ya "
