I have just been making enquiries about insuring a heavily modified 1200 ute & it seems my current insurer (Suncorp) has changed it's policy & no longer insures modified vehicles.
Does any one have advice on a good insurer for a modified 1200?.....I talked to one place (Shannons) & they were pretty pricey......But maybe that's par for the course....??

It depends do you want full comp or just third party its pricey either way.
If you want full comp go shannons cause they have agreed value. If you want third party go just cars they have a third party fire and theft for about $600 a year for a very modified ute like mine. Or if you just want third party go Vigil they will do it for bout $500 and do pay by the month. I believe just cars is the best option because you want be happy with the value shannons try to shonk you with so it doesnt work out to be worth it. Cheers Luke
