Well, as the headlines read. I sold my ute today. I think it was Saturday the 8th of Jan, I received a phone call from a guy at Summernats. He actually knew some guy who went to school with my ex, that guy rang another friend to get my ex's number, then she gave my number to him and then it went along the backline to the "new owner" (I might ad my ex has the ####s that I sold it). He was telling me about a mad ute he wanted to buy down there but it only had an A12 in it and was standard all over but had really nice paint. He was telling me the guys was asking 16k for it, and thats how we got talking. I mentioned a price and told him I dont mind if he takes it or not (as I had no intention of selling it), it went on for about a week and a half then he managed to bring me down a bit. I wont mention numbers just incase he doesn't want me too. I assume he will be coming on here soon, so if he wants to he can. I'll just say I came out in front . Well I came out behind emotionally!

Nathan

I'm actually looking at a 1969 Chevy C10, fresh 454 and paint, power steer, a/c. Then I'll pump up some 22" chromies and have myslef a cruiser. It also has an lpg set up but not hooked up.

The Datto was cool. But you'd look more at home in a "pimped" lowrider 60s chev with a big block...running on wide 20s with bling.

I too am a little surprised that you sold, but some things just happen. Life is like that.

You'll be right! See ya 'round.

Yeah Chris,
I had to get out while I am still in front. I am picking up this pickup cheap too, then I will sell that. I need to start thinking about the future and seeings I am a crap saver I need to do it this way. The Datto brought plenty of mad time to me as did my old Datto. I'll still be on here talking the same old s##t. I'll still come out to meets and stuff too.

sweet. i love the big tanks. i'm planning on a 540/555 mopar crate engine soon-ish, to go into a prostreet monte-carlo. 2spd powerglide, small stall, transbrake, 3.55:1 9in with floating 31spline axles...ah - here we go again!!!
not a fan of the 454 though, dunno what it is, they seem like such a slug for a big block. maybe you can swap it for a 504ci chev and be done with it...

Don't think I'll be getting one anymore. Maybe should just buy a newer car, I have a couple in mind. I need a break from the head aches. Honestly I don't want to buy anything slower than YAJOKN but I don't want to spend too much money doing it. Dilemmas, whats a kid to do?
