Team oldskool refers too an Aseries motor in a 1200 (will consider a 1000, as it is the orginal datsun) that has been worked abit, which hasnt led to cutting up the 1200 too much and still has that great oldskool motor with a set of twins that helps get that awsome pushrod OHV motor reving hard with plenty of guts
the LSeries is out of another Datsun and leads to cutting, and adding more wieght, even though that motor is still sorta oldskool, it isnt the original Aseries motor, so there may need to be a Lseries oldskool club Any of the above requirements gives the 1200 member the right to wear the team oldskool signature, because they havent given in to the easy newskool ways which too many 1200s have Keep up the Fight "team oldskool" members i hope to see more in the future and hope too see other rival team members cause we need some good competition, so we can show how good it is to stay "team oldskool" All oldskool team put your details in here so we know your wearing the new signature Cheers p.s have a good one everybody

What about me? (not that I give a toss)
I have a single downdraft carb fed drawthrough supercharged "A" series 1200. And a soon to be soon to be L20 powered 310 with twin sidies. (No cutting required) And another A series 310 aswell. (which I have dellortos for , but haven't fitted them yet) I think that the whole concept is daft. What pupose does this serve, other than to create division within this site. It's just as silly as the monumental arguments of turbo vs supercharger, or drawthrough vs blowthrough. Each to his own. Respect it.

Not divisions but segments; I'm a fan of Old Skool with my racer , I like the fact it is streetable and am willing to give up performance for that Old Skool look.
Now with that said if I had huge bucks I would keep my current car plus get a bone stock coupe , a twin cam turbo coupe with monster flares and a sedan for Gravel Rally. What makes our group unigue is we all have differnat views of the perfect 1200 but also take joy in seeing other visions of the perfect 1200. Tom

"because they havent given in to the easy newskool ways which too many 1200s have"
Hah! how long would it take you to throw a new a series in your mobile? a day??? its like saying "who wants to join the small dick club? its real cool, yeah, we don't need big dicks! youre taking the easy way out if you have one, who's in?" well not really but i'm laughing as i type it. i love the old a series, but a step up in technology and power is not a cop out. it takes quite a lot of thought and planning not to mention the time and effort. Go the datto i say!

haha... i didnt expect this much relpy to the forum... Its just abit of fun, of course all dattos rock with all different motors! im not trying to single out and cause dervision!
Team Oldskool is just some fun bettween members on here ( me, Kegs, Demojob, DVL DAT).. I love Aseries power cause i decided to stick with it and enjoy it in my 1200, that doesnt mean im expecting everyone else to do the same. I just like to see other members have smiliar motors and oldskool power like i do thats why i put "Team Oldskool" on my signature, which has been there for ages Have Fun peoples go the oldskool go the newskool, just own a datto Team Oldskool You can view topic.
