Yes, you down under guys will probably fail to see why this is cool, but...

Got this from a friend who knows a few importers. He has just imported a South African '84 ute, and yes I'm jealous as hell. Well, it was wrecked bad in the front so he cut off the SA clip and welded on a US front clip. Since he did that, I got to scavenge the complete dash, firewall, wipers, pedals, etc. from the RHD front clip. So starting in the next few weeks I'll be prearing my '73 Coupe for the conversion.

I am also curious if I'd be the first RHD Coupe in the US?

I can see the coolness in that, you gotta stand out from the crowd and what better way with RHD in the middle of a heap of LHD's.
I am sure you did grab it, but you didnt mention the steering column etc

with the torque of the engine wouldnt you need to sit on the left hand side anyway to make the chassis sit flatter?

Nah, column was MIA as well as the gearbox. I'm just going to use a LHD column (or maybe aftermarket), and a RHD rack & pinion set-up.

Sounds cool. Cut it, spline it, fit up a bearing and make a mount for the bottom of the firewall.
