Cool! I know where I can get one for bugger all.

Where can I get a head with a sane ratio? Can you give me the axle tube dia from your diff?

What kind of ratio are you after?? 720 utes use a 4.11, 4.3, 4.8 and even 5.1 depends on if they are diesel or petrol and 4X4 or not
The axle tube diameter is pretty fat around 68-70mm from memory I had to buy new Ubolts and make new bottom platforms for the shocks to mount to and ubolts to go through

By "sane" I meant streetable. There is only so much rubber I can put on the road. 4.1:1 is really as low as I can go. My set up is (Well was, and will be again) real torquey, so too low a gear set will make fast launches too scientific for a leadfooot like me.

Well I have a H190 4.7 Vanette diff lined up, it is 1420mm from drum to drum. I measured My ute H165 diff and it seems to be 1320mm (approx) drum to drum. What I was wanting to know is, is there a 3.9 or 4.1 Ratio diff that fits these and are they available in an LSD version? If so in what?

Having smaller axles doesn't really bother me, I am mainly trying to get the width to match the bluebird front struts. Finding a LSD would be a real bonus.

Andrew - you said you had to machine down the axles, I take it by this you ment the flange plate that the studs mount to?

I read the Tech section a few times and was unable to find an answer. Any help or even a diff would be greatly appreciated.

With eth H190's there are also a few different axle options some 25 spline some 27 and some 29 spline most the comercial type diffs , utes ect run the 29 spline & also series 3 blubird . 1600 wagon and the like have the smaller axles. LSD's are as rare as rocking horse poo!!! NLA new and nizmo units are very $$$ expect to pay $1000 + for a second hand center (they are 27 spline) the 4x4 720's where optioned with LSD ive been searching for two years without any results. If you really want a LSD would be cheaper to get a Skyline BW diff shortened .
the axles had to be machined where the studs go. smaller in diameter to fit the discs and also restuded
Cheers Andrew
