All A series rods use the same big end bearings, but differ in length & wrist pin size.
There are only two wrist pin sizes & three lengths, so all the diferent rods are made up of a combination of these features. A10 these are the shortest rods & use the small wrist pin size A12 Middle size. Only the A10 rod is shorter. These use the small wrist pin. A12a Same length as A12 but with large wrist pin. A13 Big bore version,.. same rod as A12a A13 Small bore version. These should be the same as the A14/15 rods, but with the small wrist pin, as this engine is basicly an A14 but with the small [73mm] bore size. A14/15 rods are the same as each other. These are the longest rods in the A series family & have the large wrist pin hole

How long are A14 rods. Are there any other rods from different engines that will fit an A series crank but are longer than A14 rods?
Thanks Andrew..

I also measured some rods while I was downstairs. These are derived from eyeball measurements using a steel rule so use them as a guide, not to engineer a frankenstien bottom end. If you are doing that you should be taking accurate measurements yourself.
distance between centres of the small and big ends: A12 rods 121.5mm A14/15 rods 132.5mm

When you say larger, what are you asking......length, width, bearing size, end cap, wrist pin, H section etc.....

are you considering stroking an A15. Possibility of stroking the crank and sourcing a different piston with the required gugeon placement and retaining the original conrod.

Its not for stroking its for another cause. Im just curious as to weather there are longer cranks that will fit an A series crank.
