I hate to tell you. But last time thats all it cost me. Uncles and engine rebuilder, cousin and engine rebuilder who specializes in head work(he ported my for free) and dad is a mechanic. Dad and I assembled and installed it. Uncle supplied parts and did all machining. Cousin did all the headwork. Go figure. I swear it cost me a little over 400 complete.

Dodgeman you're always so quick to criticise aren't you.

I can rebuild complete engines for that.
Define "rebuild"
A full engine gasket set, rings, bearings, timing chain*, sprocket[s]* top overhaul etc will cost more than that in parts alone, & that just covers a minor overhaul. [*= as required]
A proper rebuild is more comprehensive than that.

Jeff Taylor sells them for the same price and come mapped already for the A series. Oh by the way that also includes a hi-energy coil you need to the whopper spark which these dizzys can deliver.
His number is +61 2 9623 8826.

I found a place with brand new dizzys. Some of you may remember my post a few weeks ago about how I noticed the forklift at work was A-series powered and and an electronic distributor. Well today the forlift service guy came so I asked him and he went down the road and came back with a price. $404.70 is the figure from EMC Forklift Parts at Eagle farm. Ph is 3268 7718. Of course you will have to remap it as it is set up for a forklift. Just use the springs and weights out of your existing dizzy would be the cheapest.

Personally im not going to buy it. Cant justify the outlay for the amount of benefit. I can rebuild complete engines for that.
