My emmissions lable for a '72 1200 coupe is 5 degrees BTDC.....
I run it at 7 degrees, but i have an A15 from 82-83 datsun something, thats been built Oh also this is an american spec, but dont really see how that should change anytihng SkootNasty

I think stock is 7 so i'd take it up to 10 or more.

the highest i've ever used is 12 degrees.so 10-12 is a good setting.

According to my book, for stockers, the setting is
7 degrees btdc - AT 600 rpm - WITH vacuum hose disconnected at distributor & plugged.
