i found a nissan 4 cylinder engine with 8 spark plugs and it has a 5speed rwd box
on the tapic cover it has nissanZ
i want to know if the box can work on my l16
the owner told me it is either a 1800 or 2000 on the block has e2 so someone please clarify

It's a Z18.

I'm pretty sure that the Z18 uses the same gearbox as all of the L-Series.

to think that once upon a time i owned one of these and let it go to scrap metal
it even had a dogleg 5 speed, but i think it was a 2 litre, non turbo.

anyway, what cars did these engines come out in? I know it was some early skylnes, but i'm not sure which ones...

the 2 litre would ba a CA20

In north america, we didn't get Z18, we got Z20 and Z22 also with 8 plugs. Might be what independentslider1 has found in Barbados.
