sumitomo htr200 great tyre around $110 got them on the front and they haven't failed me yet.
falken fk-06g great to no idea $$$ and havent had a drama with them on the rear.

both are 185/60/13's and will agree the number of companies doing good 13" tyres is definitely getting less and less.

Tom are you looking at good performance tyres or just cheap ones that will do the trick for a while? Coz i bought some cheap 'OK' ones from K Mart tyre center frro $77 each... Their called Wynstar's and they were 195/50s R15, they work pretty darn well, the only slippage i get is when i give the car a fair bit of stick.

Im sure that they would have some 205/60's by 13's in there some where for a decent price and if you know someone working at k mart, coles or woolies i think you can get a discount card that they have which entitles you to 15% off!!

im not after "perfomance tyres" just ones that perform well, and i want them to last. and are cheep, i just need to find the balance between cheapness and goodness, im still goin for the Nangkengs,

i still have my corolla wheels and tyres if i need to get the car inspected anytime soon(dont count on it) but they are still for sale hopefully if i can get some $$ for the corolla wheels i can buy some new tyres.

the wynstars are the quickfit brand "Really good" says the dude, i dont listen to the fellas in tyre places i like to know what others think.

Quite often you will find the cheap tyres wear the best but give the worst handling as they are a really hard compund and the more expensive tyres handle alot better but wear much quicker as they use a softer compound to gain the extra grip. This is where you need to find the medium for a street car I believe. You want decent handling and decent wear. Basically its hard to have the best of both worlds.

Dont forget to check wheels/tyres for sale second hand/privately. I paid $50 for a set of 13x7 chromies with good 205s (cant remember brand, but were pretty good) Also paid $50 each for the fat 235's I currently running on my 720, still had the little rubber fingers on the tread face.
