if your gbox is anything like shaun's ull be able to take some pics for us reaaallll soon
i think ull find the fluttering like a bitch sound is your compresoor wheel stopping from the boost building up against it.....i know the sound, very cool, but i dont think compressor wheels like it too much.

i seriously dont think my gearbox is minding the extra power at all ......im not dropping clutch or anything harsh the only time its under extra load is when boost comes on....but id suspect the stock clutch would slip before the box breaks wouldnt u think???

as for the flutter ......who cares she'll be rite...t25s are common and cheap....especially when u own an import parts business lol

but yeh i know the flutter aint the best thing for my turbo...it does have a bov built into the hat....although it doesnt have a vac line hooked up....so its not working atm........

how many boxes u break shaun and howd it happen....doin burnouts or just regular boosting???

idrove my ute probally about 300kms only blew one up(completly shattering second)
but if i didnt sell it im pretty sure i would have had a collection of busted gboxes
i was only running about 6-7 psi and i blew the box driving pretty calmly
never really done burnouts but most the wear and tear would of come from snapping a few 2nds and 3rds

No doubt they are weak boxes but im sure one in decent condition will last a long time. With 30y old gear it really depends on condition and how much usage it has has. Take my old h145 diffs for example. Original one was always a little noisy and let go after 12months of hard abuse. Chirp second, snap second around corners, line locks etc and it was stuffed in the end but still drove fine. Put in a replacement. Lasted two weeks. Chirped second like five times in the two weeks and it smashed to pieces on the frinal chirp after about day 13.
My orinal 56A box still lives though behind the worked a14 though after 18months. Synchros are now a little noisy but never sounded crash hot in the beggining.
